END OF 2ND TERM NEWS LETTER
SEASON’S GREETINGS!
We bring you greetings from Calvary for a successful end of the second term of the 2021/2022 Academic Session. We thank the Almighty God for the heights of knowledge transfer achieved and also for His care and protection upon the staff and students of this great institution of learning. May all thanks and glory be to Him in Jesus name, Amen.
We wish to bring to your notice the following Informationwhich is aimed at further deepening the parent-teacher partnership of enhancing the development of our children.
VACATION/RESUMPTION
The school will go on vacation for this Second Term on Friday, 1st April, 2022. All Boarding students are expected back to the Hostels on Saturday, 30th April, 2022 from 4.00pm to 6.00pm prompt. We covet your strict adherence to this timing to avoid embarrassing our tender-hearted wards.
HOLIDAY PROJECT
Students have been given projects in all subjects for the Easter holiday to consolidate what has been learned which will be submitted on the first week of resumption.We plead that you support them to deliver on these projects as allocated grades form 10% of their assessment for the Third Term of the 2021/2022 academic session.
ONLINE RESULT:
Parents are hereby advised to check their child/ward’s result via the school’s website: www.apostolicfaithschoolsph.comas from Monday 11th of April, 2022.
ADMISSION INTO JSS1-2 AND SS1-2 2022/2023
We wish to inform our highly esteemed parents that admissions into JSS-1, JSS-2, SS-1 and SS-2 for the 2022/2023Academic Session is ongoing. Kindly be our mouthpiece to other family members, colleagues and neighbours on the rich spiritual and academic benefits of enrolling their wards in the Apostolic Faith Secondary School, Port Harcourt.
The application forms are obtainable from the School Bursary upon evidence of payment of₦10,000.00 only per applicant. Kindly read the preferred mode of payment in the section on Guidance on Financial Transaction with the School, below.
The Entrance examination schedule is as follows:
- First Batch: 7th May 2022
- Second Batch: 25thJune 2022
- Mop-up Batch: 30th July 2022

GUIDANCE ON FINANCIAL TRANSACTION WITH THE SCHOOL
Acceptable payment options for ALL fees include:
- Transfers into the dedicated AFSS Fees Account (see details below) using any Bank Apps and forwarding of e-receipt to bursar (Mrs Hannah Aloysius Sam) on WhatsApp Number 0703-540-8201.
- Bank Teller payment and submission of counterfoil/posting receipt to the school bursar for confirmation
- Anyone making payment using the USSD route must have the same surnameas the applicant to fast-track tracing in the school account. Kindly note that such payment will be credited only when it reflects on the school account.
Kindly note that ONLY the school bursar IS AUTHORISED to ENGAGE with parents/guardians on payment of fees and other levies. The bursar WILL NOT accept cash payments.
We will appreciate parents/guardians complying with this guidanceand thus partnering with us to ensure transparency and integrity in the financial management system of the school.
Payments not reflected in the nominated *AFSS Fees Account*for the school shall be deemed a loss to the Payer/Originator.

NOTE:
Tellers and printouts of such payments should be presented to the Bursary for issuance of receipts. Note that students whose fees are not paid on or before the stipulated period would not be allowed into the hostel and classrooms upon resumption.
END OF YEAR, GRADUATION AND PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY:
The school hereby notifies our parents/guardians that there will be a Graduation & Prize Giving Ceremony on Friday, 29th of July 2022to close the academic work for the year.
There will also be a dedicated Valedictory Service on Sunday, 24th of July 2022 at the Apostolic Faith Church auditorium at 9.00am to honour our SS3graduating students.
The 2021/2022 school year will officially come to a close and parents/guardians pick up their wards on Friday 29th July, 2022.
